CancerCare's Online Support Groups for Teens

Welcome to CancerCare's online support groups for teens. You are contacting us because you or someone you know has been affected by cancer; it may be a parent, a sibling, a grandparent, or a friend. You have come to the right place! Our groups are for teens between the ages of 13-18 years old, and the goal is to connect teens from all over the country and world who have been diagnosed with cancer or who are dealing with cancer in their family.

If you are under 18 years old, we need to confirm with a parent or legal guardian that they acknowledge your participation in an online group. Below you can find a PDF version of the consent form along with the Group Guidelines to be followed within the group space. Please complete the following steps to gain access to our online program.

  1. Email one of the social workers listed here to express your interest and provide contact information for a parent or legal guardian:

Teens with Cancer Online Support Group (Ahuva Morris, LMSW: amorris@cancercare.org)

Teens Who have a Loved One with Cancer Online Support Group (Sarah Paul, LMSW: spaul@cancercare.org)

  2. If under 18, download the consent form for the caregiver group or patient group
  3. Begin the registration process to create a username and password, and to fill out the intake questionnaire
  4. A social worker will contact your parent or legal guardian to complete registration over the phone

Once these short steps are completed and we have received acknowledgement from your parent or legal guardian, you will have access to one of CancerCare's online groups for teens.
